Deputy Stevens was a minor character in the television adaptation series, Scream TV series. He is portrayed by Hunter Burke.
Description[]
Deputy Stevens is a police officer, who works with the current sheriff of Lakewood, Miguel Acosta at the Lakewood Police Department.
Death[]
Deputy Stevens is driving Emma Duval and Audrey Jensen to the police station, arresting them for the murder of Mayor Maddox. Audrey protests that they didn't do it, but Stevens ignores them. Emma then shouts that there is a man (Lakewood Slasher) on the road. To avoid hitting the Lakewood Slasher, Stevens swerves his cruiser out of the way, crashing the car into a pole. However, Stevens survives the crash using an emergency airbag.
Dazed and bleeding, Stevens exits the car. Suddenly, the Lakewood Slasher runs up to him and stabs Deputy Stevens in the stomach. Deputy Stevens grabs his handgun and fires it twice as the Lakewood Slasher grips his wrist.
The Lakewood Slasher twists Deputy Stevens' arm and shoves him into the window of the patrol car. Then, the Lakewood Slasher strikes his hunting knife into Deputy Stevens, penetrating him in the side, stabbing his ribcage. With Deputy Stevens screaming in pain, The Lakewood Slasher continues brutally stabbing him multiple times in the back as he slumps to the ground, dead.

- His death is very similar to Officer Richards and Officer Andrews.
- He is Similar to Officer David Caporizo (played by Stuart Geer) from I Know What You Did Last Summer:
- Just like Caporizo he is on location where a murder happened. The difference being Caporizo never finds the body of Barry Cox (played by Ryan Phillipe) despite Helen Shivers (Played Sarah Michelle Gellar) witnessing his murder by Ben Willis (played Muse Watson) However Stevens finds Emma Duval and Audrey Jensen where Quinn Maddox was murdered.
- Unlike Emma and Audrey, Helen isn't arrested and Caporizo agrees to take her home
- Just like Caporizo doesn't believe Helen about Barry being murdered, Stevens doesn't believe Emma and Audrey about being innocent.
- Both are eventually murdered by the killers. Although in Caporizo case, he thinks Ben Willis is a civilian having car trouble and goes to observe and is killed almost immediately. Stevens sees the Lakewood slasher on the road and crashes into a pole. Unlike Caporizo, Stevens attempts to fight back and manages to fire a couple shots before being killed for good.
- After his death, his gun was used throughout the entire episode by Kieran Wilcox and Emma Duval.
- Emma and Kieran used it to kill Eli Hudson.
- It was also used by Emma for many attempts to shoot Kieran, all of which were unsuccessful.
